How to Make Money With Side Hustles

make money

I am always looking at ways to make extra money because I work part-time, and I am always looking at side hustle opportunities.

There are dozens of opportunities out there to make some extra cash. Sometimes you have to get creative and be open-minded.

1. Turn your unwanted clutter into cash

Are you shocked by stuff taking up precious space around your house, and do you need to declutter your home?

By decluttering your home, you will be able to clean up your home and make some money while doing it.

It takes time to go through each drawer, closet, and room. I’ve found that decluttering works successfully if you do room by room, rather than trying to do the whole thing at once.

Excellent places to sell your stuff are-:

  1. Facebook marketplace (and it’s free to advertise)
  2. eBay https://www.ebay.com.au/
  3. Depop https://www.depop.com/
  4. Trading Post https://www.tradingpost.com.au/home
  5. Buy and Sell https://www.buysearchsell.com.au/all-locations/buy-sell/
  6. Blacktown Markets https://www.weekendnotes.com/sydney/car-boot-sales/
  7. Glebe Markets https://www.glebemarkets.com.au/
  8. Through friends
  9. Craigslist https://geo.craigslist.org/iso/au

4. Make Money From Your Hobby

make money

A friend of mine loves to take photos. She has a photography side hustle business and contacts the local daycares in the area to take graduation pictures of the kids, and she makes good money doing it.

Most of us have a hobby that we enjoy. It’s a way to express ourselves and they’re a great stress outlet. Well, that hobby can make you money.

If you make products, sell them. Make sure you have something different to offer people. You can sell locally at markets or you can sell online and ship your product. Websites like eBay, Etsy or Amazon are a great way to start.

Some hobbies, like playing the guitar are interactive. Teaching someone how to play an instrument or how to make something can be very rewarding as well. Our next-door teacher has violin lessons at home after school and online during the weekend. I see what he charges for these lessons and the hourly rate is amazing, and he is highly in demand.

5. Make Money From Renting Out That Extra Room

If sharing your home is not a problem, you’re likely to make some good cash from renting out that spare room. Check out https://flatmates.com.au/ or rent out your unused garage.

If you are near a tourist spot, renting out your home or room with Airbnb has been very popular. I use Airbnb all the time. As I like to stay in accommodation similar to my house.

It will surprise you how much your room could rent out. A friend of ours paid his mortgage this way and loved having the company.

6. Make money online

There are so many opportunities online that you can make explore to make money today, from selling your photos if you are a photographer. You could sell these pictures to Adobe Stock or Istock. If you like to write, why start a blog, or if you have products you make, why sell them on eBay, Etsy and Amazon?

For years, I used to flip vintage clothes on eBay and loved it. There was always a high demand for well-looked-after unusual items.

Another exciting way to make cash is through E-Commerce. Selling digital products is a low-cost way to make extra money. You can either do it yourself, wholesale or through dropping. It will depend on how much time you want to invest and the quality of your products. You could offer e-commerce on websites, social media and mobile apps.

Some of them are:

  1. Ebooks
  2. Online courses
  3. NFTS
  4. Templates or calendars
  5. Downloadables
  6. Music

If I have missed anything, please let me know and I will add it to the post.
